We tried out several different Beretta M9 OWB holsters and came up with this list of the 8 best Beretta M9 OWB holsters. A great way to carry is outside the waistband (OWB) because these holsters hold your gun securely, are easily concealable and highly comfortable.
The Beretta M9 is a great concealed carry weapon and it’s an amazing concealed carry gun.
Let’s begin with our favorite and the one we recommend.
Comp-Tac International Holster
The International combines a belt holster, belt drop offset holster, paddle holster and paddle drop offset holster into one. The modular mounting system combines the versatility of different mounting options with the superior Kydex holster that Comp-Tac is known for. The International is available with three different cant options, the speed draw (straight drop), the FBI cant (grip angle forward), and the reverse/cross draw (grip angle rearward). The mounting system will accommodate 1-1/2” up to 2″ belts. Please note that the mounting system initially accommodates a 1-1/2″ belt width, but may be configured to accommodate up to a two-inch belt. On the Belt Mount there is a removable tab, once this tab has been removed, it does not reattach. On the Paddle Mount, the belt under-hook may be cut at the trim line, and the top portion removed to accommodate up to a 2″ belt. Sandpaper may be used to deburr the area after removal.
NOTE: The International is IDPA legal in certain configurations. For Women: Legal in all configurations. For Men: Not legal with drop-offset. Only legal in belt or paddle attachment. The International is USPSA legal for both genders in all configurations.
Comp-Tac Paddle Holster – Straight Drop
The Paddle Holster is the Comp-Tac number one best-selling outside the waistband (OWB) holster and is used for both concealment and competition. In fact, it is the most popular holster in IDPA and has been used by several national IDPA champions. Our Paddle Holster is the closest (to the body) riding holster available on the market. The paddle backing allows limitless positioning on the waistband without interference from belt loops.
The paddle backing curves over the belt and pants so the paddle portion actually sits inside your waistband. There are two forward-curving tabs (see photo below) that “grab” on to the bottom of your belt to help stabilize the holster while still inside the waistband. This model is fast and convenient to put on or remove throughout the day all while keeping the pistol securely holstered. The Paddle Holster is available with one of two cants. One option is with a Speed (Straight Drop) cant; this is ideal for competition use and allows for the fastest draw. Full-Coverage or Slide Version. A “Slide” version is available for select models. This version is intended for range use only! This is an open-ended holster made to fit a series of frames. The holster will fully cover the shortest barrel length in a series; longer barrels of the same frame will stick through the bottom of the holster. Please note that some models will have embossing on the holster with logo and type of pistol it is for.
